Richard Rutherford - Bass

For the last 12 years Richard has worked as band leader of Laughing Jacks. He is also regularly employed as a music consultant by a variety of corporate and private clients, supplying all kinds of live music for events large and small. Richard has performed in bands lead by Mick Whitaker, Les Watts, Aaron Bayley and The Crosby Brothers. He has also worked in numerous Cabaret, Theatre and TV situations. Between October 2000 and June 2005 Richard lectured in Music Theory, Music History and Instrumental Studies at Middlesbrough College, before leaving to concentrate on promoting and running Laughing Jacks. Richard has delivered developmental workshops for organizations such as Northumberland Music Services, Enterprise in Education, Music Leader and Newcastle Performance Academy. Richard has recently been hired to do regular consultancy and sales work for local entertainment company "One Voice Productions".

Andrea Pattison - Vocals

Andrea is a vastly experienced and versatile singer. As well as working with many high profile function and cabaret bands, she fronted the trio "Jazz Girl" for three years.

Andrea continues to work as a freelance vocalist performing solo, as a bandmember and on numerous studio sessions, and now has a myspace page, featuring her own compositions. Andrea can also been seen with her own band, and is currently recording an album of original music.

Jon Black - Vocals and guitar

Jon is a singer of considerable power and confidence, and highly experienced as a solo performer and band member. To hear examples of his recent recordings with Laughing Jacks go to the music downloads page.

John has recently formed his own band, The John Black Band, playing a selection of classic and contemporary R'n'B and rock tracks.

Karl Peacock - Piano/Keyboards

Karl is a highly experienced band member and accompanist, having worked with many of the region's top commercial bands, as well as numerous singers and cabaret artists. He's recently played with The Paul James Band and The Taylor Moon Band as well as the well known local "Rat Pack" singer Paul Martin. As well as piano and keyboards Karl also plays saxophone to a professional standard.

Paul Smith - Drums

Paul is one of the most highly regarded musicians in the North of England. His recent touring commitments have included Tony Christie, Joe Longthorne and Peter Grant.

As well as live work, Paul is an in demand studio player. His past credits include Martin Stephenson, Sting, Jimmy Nail and Prefab Sprout.
