CDs for sale
The Laughing Jacks commercial demonstration CD is available for free to anyone who would like a copy. It contains examples of the band’s pop and rock repertoire that is typically played at weddings and functions.
The band also have recordings of other, more diverse material that they’ve recorded over recent years. We’ve decided to make a new CD available to buy. New tracks have been specially recorded for this release that have never featured on Laughing Jacks demos in the past.
In March 2006 Andrea and Richard composed two brand new songs which were then recorded in June 2006 and are also featured on the CD.
The CD is available to buy for £6 + £1 postage and packing. Overseas orders may incur additional postage charges.
These recordings have a lot of personal value to the band and this is the first time they’ve been made available to the public. The track list is at right, a few short excerpts are available, for a sneak preview, below:

1. “Show Me Heaven”
A brand new recording of Andrea’s show stopping interpretation of the 1990 Maria McKee hit.
2. “Walking in Memphis”
The band’s recent version of the Marc Cohn classic features Jon Black on lead vocals.
3. “Nobody Loves You (Like I Do)”
Andrea wrote this song ten years ago. The finishing touches were applied in March 2006 and the track was recorded in June.
4. “Streetlife”
New version of the Randy Crawford/Crusaders classic. The track features Paul Smith on Drums and Dave Dunston on saxophone.
5.”Say a Little Prayer”
One of the most requested tracks the band play. This laid back version was recorded in May 2006.
6. “Best Taken Cold”
Richard and Andrea wrote this song in March 2006. The track features Dave Dunston on soprano saxophone.
7. “Need your Love so Bad”
This intimate version of the Little Willie John/Peter Green classic was recorded in September 2006. The track features Jon Black on lead guitar and vocals and Graham Wood on Hammond organ.
8. “People Get Ready”
This beautiful Curtis Mayfield song has long been a favourite of the band. This version features a piano solo from Richard Naisbett.
9. “In this Love Together”
This Al Jarreau track is one of Andrea’s favourites. The saxophone and Percussion on this track are by Dave Lourie.
10. “Tracks of my Tears”
The band’s reinterpretation of the Smokey Robinson classic.
